Rody Lennis "Pete" Hickman, Jr. passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Wilson N. Jones Hospital.  He was born February 4, 1942, son of Rodie and Vera Miller Hickman of Tioga, Texas.   Pete married Cheryl Goldston December 17, 1988.
Pete graduated from Tioga High School and then served in the Army.  Later he graduated from East Texas College and was a supervisor at Texas Instruments for over 30 years where he made lots of friends. After retirement he served on the S&S YSA for years as his children were growing up.
He is survived by his wife; children: son, Pete "PJ" Hickman and Ashley of Pottsboro; son Zach Hickman and wife, Shaman of Sherman; and daughter, Libbey Ann Hickman of Sherman.  Also, daughter, Missy Croney of Sherman; son, Jimmy Elston of Sherman; sister, Patsy Coulson of Sherman; and sister-in-law, Barbara Hickman and McRee Hickman of Tioga; in-laws, Jeff and Terrie Farris of Howe; Tracy and Peggy Goldston of Collinsville; and Junior and Jamie Adkins of Howe.  He had 12 grandchildren: Emily Hickman and Hayden Robinson of Pottsboro; Aubrey and Jase Adkins of Howe; Kayli Rushing and Jeremy Croney of Sherman; Amanda Ratcliff, Carrie Gunville, Theresa Baca; Myranda Carney; Josh and Julie Elston.  He had 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, A.L. Hickman, Glen D. Hickman; Joe Hickman; Charlie Hickman; and sisters, Lula May Hickman; Cleo Smith; Maureen Faulkner; and son, Scott Elston.
Pete was cremated; no services were planned.
