Randy Allen Hayes was born to Peggy Eastlick Hayes and Delbert Hayes on March 12, 1955 in Arcata, California and he left this earth on April 5, 2016 at his home in the country west of Gordonville, Texas.  He had two lovely and gracious daughters with his first wife - June Kadow Althusius - one talented and energetic son with Sabrena Vick Keathly, who both survive him.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Meador Funeral Home, Whitesboro.
He was talented boat and car mechanic and could honestly fix almost anything that was broken.  He was always tinkering around with his latest purchase in his front yard.  He was also a great carpenter and his most recent position was with Red River Construction working for his friend who was like a brother, Jerold Lee.  He loved riding motorcycles, visiting with friends, and could always be expected to engage in a lively discussion on politics! 
He is survived by his daughter, Rhiannon Parks and husband, Jason, of Battleground, Washington; his two grandchildren - Troy and Hadley Parks (Hadley shared a birthday with her Grandpa Randy); his son, Wheeler Hayes, of Collinsville, Texas; and his mother, Peggy Clark, of Weiser, Idaho.  Other survivors are three sisters, five brothers, and a large number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, Delbert; and his beloved daughter Jennah, who we are sure was the first person he hugged when he got to Heaven.  We can be assured that Randy is now in Heaven with his loved ones because his boss Jerold attested to the fact that Randy received Christ as his Savior on his knees in Gerald's shop in 2007.
Randy was a good friend and helped many people throughout the years when their cars or boats broke down or when they needed a helping hand on a needed repair to their house.  He rarely said no when someone asked him for help.  His many friends have also said they would do anything for Randy because he would do anything for them.  He will be greatly missed by all who loved him and because he knew Christ as his Savior, all who are also saved will see him again., which is a comfort beyond measure.
A Memorial Service was held at 10:30 a.m. on April 16th, 2016 at Dixie Baptist Church, 21696 Hwy 377, Whitesboro, Texas, with a luncheon to follow.  Ashes were spread after the luncheon at Juniper West Point.  Then all are welcome to a celebration of Randy's life at the home of his son, Wheeler, 2435 Dawkins Rd., Collinsville, Texas.
