WHITESBORO - Memorial Services for Wanda Faye (Whittle) Greear, 74, were held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the Ark of Faith Church located at 7012 Baker Blvd., Richland Hills, Texas 76118, with Pastor Clarence Huffman officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.
Mrs. Greear passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.
Wanda was born on June 21, 1935 in Lawton, Oklahoma to John Wesley and Cleo (Tucker) Whittle.  She married Homer Greear on September 5, 1953 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Wanda and Homer were baptized in Wichita Baptist Church in Cache, Oklahoma.  She was currently attending Bones Chapel Church in Whitesboro, Texas.  She was a co-owner with Homer of Wichita Floors also in Cache.  Upon retirement Wanda and her husband were big fishing buddies.  Wanda loved her family and she was very devoted to them. 
Survivors include her husband, Homer Greear of Whitesboro; three sons, Johnny Greear and wife, Suzanne, of Whitesboro; Dale Greear of Cache, Oklahoma; and Gene Greear and wife, Carolyn, of Ft. Worth; a daughter, Cleo Cherie Greear and husband, Will Rhodarmer, of Nashville, Tennessee; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Slatten and Flora Mae Hinch of Cache, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Cleo Whittle; and a sister, Juanita Whittle.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Whitesboro Public Library, 308 W. Main, Whitesboro, Texas 76273 in honor of Wanda Faye Greear.
