A family visitation for Charles Ray Gray was held from 6:00-8:00 PM
Sunday, March 13 at Waldo Funeral Home. After a lengthy illness, Mr.
Gray, 70, passed away Thursday, March 10 at Texoma Healthcare.
Charles was born July 26, 1940 in Denison to the late Jessie Ray and Evelyn (Klas) Gray. On March 3, 1961, Charles and Lillian Bernice Pate were married in Denison. Charles worked as a homebuilder for many years before going to work at Foxworth Galbraith Lumber. For the last 15 years, he has worked as a general contractor. Charles was a member of the Andrew Randell Masonic Lodge and Sherman Bible Church. Charles always made his family the top priority in his life. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lillian Bernice Gray of Sherman; three sons, Mitch Gray and wife Brenda of Sherman; Mark Gray and wife Lori of Sachse; and Mike Gray and wife Camille of Georgetown; one daughter, Michelle L. Gray of Sherman; four grandchildren, Emily, Abby, Rachel, and Ashley; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Cozy and Gerald Peddicord; brother-in-law, Richard Pate and his wife Sandy of Pottsboro; and step-mother, Josephine Pate Burden of Denison. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Sharon Ann Nicholson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, C/O Development Dept at 2222 Welborn St., Dallas, TX 75219.
