DENISON
- Lloyd Monroe Garland age 65 went to meet the creator on Saturday,
July 23, 2011 while at home surrounded by his loving family by his
side. Mr. Garland was born on December 28, 1945 in Sherman, Texas to
James Earnest Stanley Garland and Ladonia Marie Garland. He was a
Vietnam Veteran and proudly served our grateful country in the United
States Army.
Mr. Garland is survived by his family, his wife, Linda (Nesbit) Garland of the home; daughter, Carmin (Garland) Hobbs and husband Kenneth Chad; two grandchildren Lane Monroe and Kylie Dale Hobbs; brothers Earnest Garland and wife Sue of Denison, and Joseph Garland and wife Dora of Collinsville. He is also survived by many adopted children and grandchildren. Also the family wants to honor Jay McCurty and wife Pam, Dwayne Carrol and Brian, and all of their Cherokee family. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and two brothers. The Garland family would like to thank all family and friends for all their prayers and support during this time. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Texas Cancer Center 2800 N. US Hwy 75 Sherman, Texas 75090. A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 11 a.m. in Earnie's home, 917 E.
