Orville Lee Franklin, 84, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Texoma Medical Center.
Mr. Franklin was born May 11, 1934.
Mr. Franklin is survived by his wife, Mary Franklin, of Pottsboro, Texas; son, James Monk and wife, Sue, of Tom Bean, Texas; daughters, Nelda Burks of Savoy, Texas and Kitty Fortier of Ravenna, Texas; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and on great-great-grandchild.
Mr. Franklin was cremated according to his wishes.  No services were planned.  Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home in Denison.





Mary Verdell Franklin, 86, of Pottsboro, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus Monday, July 22, 2019 after a long battle with dementia.  She was born November 10, 1932, daughter of Sherman and Vertya Mae Butler.  She married Orville Franklin on May 14, 1954.

Mary leaves behind her children, James Monks and wife, Sue, of Tom Bean, Texas; Nelda Burks and husband, Tommy, of  Savoy, Texas; and Kitty Fortier and husband, Chris, of Ravenna; grandchildren, Amy Oliver and husband, Kimbee; Amanda VanderMolen; Scotty Burks; Lori Weger and husband, Brian; Brad Monks, all of Texas; great-grandchildren, Jessica Price-Plumbtree and husband, Jeremy, of Oklahoma; Mason Oliver; Andrew VanderMolen; Arya Weger; and Logan Weger, all of Texas; great-great-granddaughter, Trinity Plumbtree of Oklahoma; sisters, Judy Witcher; and Ann Smith; brother-in-law, Billy Suitor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville, earlier this year; parents; brothers, Ted and Bill Butler; sister, Dot Suitor; brother-in-law, Johnny Hopkins; and grandson, David Paul Thompson.
Mary was cremated according to her wishes.  Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, Denison, Texas.
