On
Friday, July 17, 2020, Clinton Edward Fowler, 70, of Denison, passed
away in Plano, Texas.
Mr. Fowler was born October 24, 1949 in Denison, Texas, son of J.T. and Dora Quassa Fowler. He married the love of his life, Deborah Shaw, April 16, 1994 in Amarillo, Texas. Clint was a voracious reader, enjoying particularly science fiction, fantasy and mysteries. He also enjoyed woodworking or "making sawdust" as he liked to call it. Clint was born with a love of music and was blessed with a beautiful baritone voice, perfect pitch and rhythm which were helpful when he discovered square dancing and round dancing. He met Deb at a dance, took her on a "test run" on the dance floor and that began a central point in their life together. They often traveled long distances to dance and combined that with their love of RVing. A mutual love of animals, especially cats, was another big part of their life and Clint was especially adept at naming the many cats that came into their lives. He was particularly close to his father and they spent many hours together working on baling equipment, erecting a barn, helping each other whenever it was needed, and just talking. Clint's dry wit and unending sense of humor was well known to family and friends. Mr. Fowler leaves behind his wife, Deborah Shaw-Fowler, of Denison; son, Brandon Fowler and wife, Carla, of Denison; daughter, Lisa Taylor and husband, Glen, of Calera, Oklahoma; sister, Cynthia Basserman and husband, Ronald, of Denison; brother, Eric Fowler and wife, Elaina, of Denison; nephews, Jason Basserman, Lake Fowler and niece, Bailey Whitehead. Mr. Fowler was cremated according to his wishes. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Mr. Fowler from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Fisher Funeral Home in Denison. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to DAWG (Denison Animal Welfare Group) or the American Heart Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, Denison.
