  Eldon
“Audie” Lee Dickson, age 72, entered into eternal life Sunday, July 24,
2011 at Seven Oaks Nursing Rehabilitation in Bonham. Mr. Dickson was
born October 25, 1938 in Gober, Texas the son of Robert Lee and Della
Mae (Turner) Dickson. But Audie was raised with his mom and stepfather,
Lester Bridges.
Audie served his country proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a truck driver for over 48 years, working for several different trucking companies. He was a hard worker and was always on the road. Audie enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. He was a loving father, brother and grandfather. Audie will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Mr. Dickson is survived by his beloved family: son, Allan Dickson and wife, Shelly of Bells, Texas; daughter, Christy Pelton and husband, Keith of Yuba, Oklahoma; brothers, Merrell Dickson and wife, Martha of Whitesboro, Texas; Bobby Dickson and wife, Belveree of Whitesboro, Texas; Steve Dickson and wife, Evelyn of Kingston, Oklahoma; and Lynn Bridges of Rowlett, Texas; sister, Tammy Kenna and husband, Frank of Bonham, Texas; grandchildren, Stephanie Dickson, Michelle Dickson, Jayden Pelton and Raylen Pelton. Audie was preceded in death by his parents; sons, David and Brian Dickson; and his brother, Buddy Dickson. Mr. Dickson was cremated according to his wishes. There was held a Celebration of Life Service from Noon to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 215 Red River in Whitesboro, Texas.
