  Barbara
Lou Bell, 84, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus Saturday, July
2, 2021 at Nanaw's Place in Pottsboro, Texas.
Barbara was born April 2, 1937 in Durant, Oklahoma, daughter of Robert and Mary Goodin Hodge. She married the love of her life, Paul N. Bell, July 26, 1961 in Durant, Oklahoma. Teaching was her life passion and for 30 years she fulfilled her dream at Pottsboro ISD. Barbara was devoted to the children she taught. She took pride in seeing them learning, and growing, and moving on to fulfilling their own dreams. Barbara loved the Lord and was a member of Hagerman Baptist Church. Barbara leaves behind her family: brother-in-law, Delbert Bell, of Bokchito, Oklahoma; sisters-in-law, Clara Bell of Bokchito, Oklahoma and Waurane Hodge of Lawton, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Brenda Bond of Pottsboro, Texas. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Bell; parents; and brothers, Don Hodge and Bob Hodge. Mrs. Bell was cremated and buried in Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma, according to her wishes. A Celebration of Life service was held at a later date.
