  Dan Ackerman passed peacefully
away in his home Sunday night, July 8, 2018 at the age of 80.
He was born December 15, 1938 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dan served two terms in the service. One term was in the Navy and the other in the Marines. Dan was a beloved bus driver for both the town of Anna and Van Alstyne for 10 plus years. Dan is survived by Francine Ackerman who resides in Van Alstyne, as well as Amy Ackerman of Oklahoma and Sabrina Dean of Plano. There will be no service held following the cremation.
