Collinsville, Tex., Feb. 3;
Prof. G. C. Marshall passed away Sunday morning at 8 0'clock. The professor came to Texas in 1868 and has taught school in this vicinity ever since. He was buried at the Collinsville cemetery to-day. His remains were followed to the grave by a large body of his old scholars, some of them already gray haired. As a mark of respect every business house in the city was closed. Mr. Marshall leaves a wife and son to mourn his loss.
