4th Addition, Section 2 Martha E. Medford 26 August 1860 - 11 January 1932 Richard G. Medford 7 November 1856 - 20 March 1947 The Whitesboro News-Record January 15, 1932 MRS. MARTHA MEDFORD BURIED WEDNESDAY Miss [sic] Martha Elizabeth Hardin Medford, 71, resident of the Center community, died Tuesday morning at 5:30 o'clock at the family homestead following a two week's illness with influenza. Mrs. Medford was born August 16, 1860 in Navarro County, where she spent her early girlhood. In 1872 she was married to R.G. Medford and to this union eleven children were born, all of whom survive except one. The family moved to the present home place thirteen years ago from Van Alstyne. The deceased was a member of the Church of Christ and was of such a gentle, kind nature that she was loved and respected by all who knew her. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Daugherty Addition Church of Christ in Whitesboro. Interment was in the Collinsville cemetery. Mrs. Medford is survived by her husband and the following children: H.F. Medford, Oklahoma City; J.E. Medford, Dallas; J.L. Medford, Waco; M.E. Medford, Rice; I.G. Medford, Van Alstyne; W.T. Medford, Whitesboro; Mrs. John Matthews, Pursley; Misses Velma and Bertie Medford and Mrs. S.E. Savage, Whitesboro. Twenty grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren also survive.
