Allie YARBROUGH
Services for Mrs. Allie Marie Yarbrough, 67, of Whitesboro, who
died Monday, November 20, 1978 at her residence, were held Wednesday, November
22 at Huff Funeral Chapel. Rev. Hugh Newsom, pastor of Miller Memorial
Baptist Church, officiated at the services. Interment was at Collinsville
Cemetery under the direction of Huff Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
She was the daughter of the late Albert and Josephine Thornton Patton,
born January 5, 1911 at Love County, Oklahoma. She married carroll
O. Yarbrough, October 17, 1925 at Marietta, Oklahoma. She owned and
operated Twelve Oaks Restaurant in Gainesville for 10 years, and was a
member of the First Baptist Church of Marietta, Oklahoma.
Surviving are her husband; sons, Thomas L. Yarbrough of Bacliff
and Perry W. Yarbrough of League City; daughters, Mrs. Billie Spears and
Mrs. B.D. Jones, both of Kemah; sister, Mrs. Lula Mae Powers of Memesa;
11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.

CARROLL YARBROUGH
Graveside services for Carroll Oscar Yarbrough, 86, were held Monday,
February 13, at 2:00 p.m., at Collinsville Cemetery in Collinsville.
He died Friday, February 10, 1989, at his residence in Whitesboro.
Rev. Joe Patterson of Central Baptist Church conducted the services.
Mr. Yarbrough was born October 25, 1902, in Rosston, Texas, the
son of the late Robert Yarbrough and Elizabeth Anderson Yarbrough. He married
Allie Marie Patton on October 19, 1925, in Marietta, Oklahoma. She
preceded him in death on November 20, 1978.
He was an auto mechanic and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are one son, Perry Wayne Yarbrough, League City, Texas;
one daughter, Carol Jo Jones, Whitesboro; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren,
and two great-great-grandchildren.
