Reed Leverett, 84 of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma passed away on June 11,
2010. He was born on August 30, 1925 at Ethel, Texas (Grayson Co. TX),
the son of the late Harold and Effie Leverett. He was the oldest of six
children. He is survived by: Sister Rosemary and sister Wilma Jean; brother: Troy; and preceded in death by: Parents, Harold and Effie; brothers Billy Glenn and Kenneth. Mr. Leverett served his country for many years in the U. S. Navy from 1943 until 1963 during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged from service at NAS, Whidby Island, Washington having obtained the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He was also an Aviation Structural Mechanic for the U. S. Army (Civil Service) and a certified aircraft welder. Medals he received during his service included: the World War II Victory Medal, National Defense, Europe Occupation, American Theater, Asiatic Pacific Theater and Five Good Conduct Medals. Funeral services for Mr. Leverett are scheduled for Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Collinsville Cemetery in Collinsville, Texas. Funeral services are under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Leverett requested the casket to remain closed.
