be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Collinsville Cemetery
with Rev. Gayle Baucum officiating. George passed away August 2, 2008 at
his residence in Whitesboro.
George Brown was the son of George T. and Edna Brown. He was born on April 29, 1937 in Roberta, Oklahoma. George was married to Patsy (Curry) on March 10, 1958 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He retired from Grayson County as an equipment operator and he worked part time for the Gainesville Daily Register. George was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Pat Brown of Whitesboro; two sons, Kenny Brown and Robert Brown both of Whitesboro; two daughters, Vickey Holley, and her husband Joe, of Gainesville and Patty Weir, and her husband Alan, of Whitesboro; six grandchildren, Heather Lopez, James Holley, Bryan Weir, Brandon Weir, Dalton Brown, Trevor Brown; and two great-grandchildren, Chayton Holley and Analeiz Lopez; two sisters, Linda Stappe and husband Richard of White Settlement and Theresa Brown of Gainesville; a brother, Oscar Brown and wife Helen of Whitesboro.
