FERN JACKSON IS BURIED IN COLLINSVILLE Mrs. Fern Aline Jackson, native of Collinsville, died at 2:25 Tuesday of last week in a Sherman hospital after several months of illness. Mrs. Jackson, 53, had lived at 416 Buchanan street, Whitesboro. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Richards chapel. Rev. L.H. Gillham, minister of the First Presbyterian church of Whitesboro, assisted by Rev. Bob Wade, pastor of the Whitesboro North Avenue Baptist church, officiated. Pallbearers were Dan McKnight, Jerry Ridinger, Bill Dobbs, James Ballard, Lyndel Carney, and Joe James, Jr. Burial was in Collinsville Cemetery. Born November 15, 1914 in Collinsville, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.W. McKnight. On December 28, 1940 in Durant, Oklahoma, she married Claude Jackson. A member of the Presbyterian church, she is survived by by her husband; brother, Dan McKnight of Tioga; four sisters, Mrs. O.C. Wood of Route 3, Sherman; Mrs. Velma Carney and Mrs. Opal Dobbs, both of Whitesboro; Mrs. Luella Ridinger of Denison; her father, W.W. McKnight of Whitesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.
