Vernon Ridinger, 37, Dies; Funeral Service Set Collinsville -- Vernon Ralph Ridinger, 37, a machinist helper for the Katy Railroad, died at 6:35 a.m. Monday at a Denison hospital. He was a native of Collinsville and a former resident of Sherman. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Dripping Springs Church. Buiral will be in Collinsville Cemetery, directed by Bratcher - Moore Funeral Home. Mr. Ridinger was born Sept. 5, 1915, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Belvie Ridinger. He was married January 4, 1936, to Miss Lou Ella McKnight at Gainesville. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; his mother, Mrs. A.P. Baughman of Tioga; four sons, Jerry Don Ridinger, Ralph Wayne Ridinger, Lonnie Dale Ridinger, and William Paul Ridinger; three daughters, Nelda Ridinger, Brenda Ridinger and Glenda Ridinger; two brothers Vertie Ridinger and Eugene Ridinger, both of Dallas, and one sister, Mrs. Helen Duff of Tyler. Lou Ella Ridinger was born September 2, 1917 in Collinsville, Texas, daughter of William W. and Margaret Ann Shipman Mcknight. She died July 31, 2001 in Denison, Texas. She married Vernon R. Ridinger in Gainesville, Texas. She is survived by sons, Jerry, Ralph, Lonnie and William Ridinger and families; daughters Nelda, Brenda and Glenda and families; 18 grandchildren and 27 greatgrandchildren. Pallbearers were Dale, Barry, Dennis, Leland and Troy Ridinger, Gerald McAden, Joel Meek, David Spillman and Brian Overturf. Burial was at Collinsville Cemetery.
