Collinsville - Services for Beulah May Faulkner, 80, former Whitesboro
resident who died Saturday in an Amarillo hospital, will be held at 2 p.m.
Tuesday in Huff Funeral Chapel in Whitesboro. Otis Proffitt, Whitesboro Church of Christ minister, and the Rev.
Harold Watson of the First Baptist Church at Whitesboro will conduct the
services. Burial will be in the Collinsville Cemetery. Mrs. Faulkner was born in Ethel, the daughter of W.S. Sanders and
Zora Ann Welch Sanders and married Virgil Lloyd Faulkner Sept. 10, 1925
in Collinsville. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Survivors are a son, Joe Faulkner of Celina; daughters, Mrs. Doreen
Thompson of Sherman and Mrs. Zoan Mullins of Amarillo; sisters, Oma Lee
Scoggin and Geraldine McWhorter, both of Collinsville, and Helen Clark
of Houston; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Raymond Gressett, Herman Gressett, Hank Lovejoy,
Charles Burchett, Ray Mullins and Taylor Scoggin. The family will be at Huff Funeral Home in Whitesboro from 7 to
8 p.m. Monday and other times at 604 N. Wharton in Sherman.
Funeral services for Virgil Lloyd Faulkner, 79, of Whitesboro were
held Saturday, August 29, at 2:00 p.m. at Huff chapel in Whitesboro.
He died Thursday, Aug. 27, 1981, at the Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman.
The Rev. Hugh Newsom, pastor of the Miller Memorial Baptist Church
in Collinsville, and Otis Proffitt, Church of Christ minister of Whitesboro,
conducted the services.
Burial was at the Collinsville Cemetery under the direction of Huff
Funeral Home, Whitesboro.
Mr. Faulkner was born on March 5, 1902, in Collinsville, the son
of G.T. and Lillian King Faulkner. He married Beulah May Sanders
on September 10, 1925, in Collinsville.
He was a farmer and rancher and a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Beulah May Faulkner of Whitesboro;
a son, Joe Faulkner of celina; three brothers, Ray Faulkner of Bonham,
Morgan Faulkner of Marshall, and Bill Faulkner of Tioga; three sisters,
Nora Mae Henderson of Dawson, Nina Wingo of Sherman, and Clara Dell Telford
of Fort Worth; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Hank Lovejoy, Taylor Scoggins, Ray Mullins, Charles
Burchett, Herman Gressett, and Raymond Gressett.
