LAKE KIOWA ~ Memorial services for Harry Gill, 87, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2008, at the Church of Christ in Collinsville, 201 S. Walnut St., Collinsville, Texas. A private burial was held Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at Collinsville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.
Mr. Gill passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at his home in Lake Kiowa, Texas.
Harry was born on July 22, 1920, in Boswell, Oklahoma, to Harry J. Gill Sr. and Nellie Fay (Fowler) Gill. He graduated from Dunn High School and then married Mary Lemmons on March 20, 1943, in Grand Prairie, Texas. Harry worked as an aircraft engineer for 30 years and then for 15 years as a Farmers Insurance Agent. He worked for the last 15 years as a realtor for Lake Kiowa Realty. Harry was very involved in life at Lake Kiowa since 1969.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Gill of Lake Kiowa; two sons, Dale Gill and wife, Deborah of Checotah, Oklahoma, and Edwin D. Gill and wife, Tammy K. of North Richland Hills; 4 grandchildren, Rodney D. Gill and wife, Renae of Arlington, Darren S. Gill of Hurst, Kelly L. Gill of Dallas and Edwin Brent Gill of Irving; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter; 2 brothers, Leonard F. Gill of Stephenville and R. Roy Gill of Arlington; and 2 sisters, Melba Ratliff of Arlington and Sue Womble of Arlington.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Louis Gill and Allen Gill; and his parents, Harry Sr. and Nellie Fay Gill.

Mary M. Lemmons Gill, 82, of Lake Kiowa died Nov. 30 at her residence.  A celebration of life will be held Dec. 12 at the Gainesville Civic Center in Gainesville with Olden Cook officiating. A reception will follow.
A private graveside service was held Dec. 1 at the Collinsville Cemetery under the direction of the Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
History ~ Mary M. Lemmons Gill was born June 18, 1926 in Denison to Elmer Arthur and Aletha Marie Henry Lemmons. Her mother was a descendent of Patrick Henry. She married Harry Gill March 20, 1943 in Grand Prairie.  

Mary M. Lemmons Gill graduated as Valedictorian of Grand Prairie High School in 1944. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Red Hat Society and Phieta Sorority.  She served the Cooke County community. She was a founding member of the Volunteer Auxiliary of Home Hospice of Cooke County, volunteer advocate for CASA, board member of the Frank Buck Zoological Society and a board of director emeritus and ambassador for the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Mary M. Lemmons Gill is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Deborah Gill of Checotah, Okla., and Edwin D. and Tammy K. Gill of North Richland Hills; grandchildren, Rodney D. and Renae Gill of Arlington, Darren S. Gill of Hurst, Kelly L. Gill of Dallas and Edwin Brent Gill of Irving; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and niece and husband, Pamela Sue Williams and Alan Ortloff of Madill, Okla.She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Gill; parents, Elmer and Aletha Lemmons; brother, Walter Trellis Lemmons; and sister, Bettye Marcellia Lemmons Williams.
