 2nd Addition     Glenn E. Strickland 25 February 1947 - 3 June 2013 SP5 US Army  SHERMAN – Funeral services for Glenn E. Strickland, 66, will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, with Dr. Jim McDoniel officiating. Interment will follow the service at Collinsville Cemetery in Collinsville. Visitation services will be held from 6 -8 p.m. Tuesday, June 4 at the funeral home. He passed away on June 3, 2013 in Denison. Glenn was born on February 25, 1947 in Honey Grove to Billy Joe and Norma Deane (Williams) Strickland. He married Pat Coleman on December 30, 1994 in Sherman. He was employed at U.S. Aviation at Perrin Airfield. He enjoyed fishing. He loved his grandchildren and loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Pat Strickland, of Sherman; sons, Bobby Strickland and wife Kristie of Sherman, Eddie Strickland and wife Penny of Anna, and James Ragsdale and wife Kris of Collinsville; daughter, Lori Gann, of Denison; 10 grandchildren, Jacob and Matthew Strickland; Candyce, Logan and Dustin Strickland; Coby and Cory Ragsdale; and Kimberli, Eric and Lorin Gann; one great-granddaughter, Jordyn Derrer; and two brothers, Jerry Strickland and wife, Lois, of St. Louis, Mo.; and Joe Strickland and wife, Diane, of Denison; and his mother-in-law, Gwen Coleman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Norma Strickland. The pallbearers will be his grandsons: Jacob Strickland, Matthew Strickland, Logan Strickland, Dustin Strickland, Coby Ragsdale, Cory Ragsdale and Eric Gann. The honorary pallbearer will be T.J. Derrer.
