Burson 1 December 1948 - 25 March 2010 Paulette Burson 20 February 1948 - no date wed 18 June 1987  COLLINSVILLE - Funeral Services for Curtice Roy Burson, Jr., 61, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro. Interment will follow in Collinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Curtice passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at his residence in Collinsville. He was born on Dec. 1, 1948 in California to Curtice Roy, Sr. and Ruby (Martin) Burson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was an electrician by profession. He married Paulette Jones on June 18, 1987 in Collinsville. Curtice loved his grandchildren and taking them fishing. He was a true friend to many. Survivors include his wife, Paulette Burson of Collinsville; a son, Brian Burson of Arlington; 3 step-sons, Jimmy Jones of Collinsville, Sean Jones and wife, Charlotte of Mansfield, and Kevin Jones and wife, JoElla of Gainesville; 2 brothers, Larry Gene Burson of Fort Worth, and Gary Dean Burson of Lubbock; a sister, Linda Smith of Valley Mills; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions made to the donor's favorite charity.
