will follow at Collinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M.
Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the funeral home.
Mr. Flowers passed away on Friday, October 17, 2008, at his home in Collinsville. Gerald was born on November 24, 1936 in Loco, Oklahoma to Victor Ross and Rena Ann (Walker) Flowers. He married Martha Christopher on February 26, 1955 in Durant, Oklahoma. Gerald worked and retired after 37 years of service from LTV, now known as Lockheed Martin, as a foreman. Survivors include his wife, Martha Flowers of Collinsville; a daughter, Karen Gail Harrison and husband Vance of Duncanville, Texas; a son, Ricky Wayne Flowers of Duncanville, Texas; three grandchildren, Wayne Cupples, III and wife Tina, Tamara Cupples and Cynthia Cupples and three great-grandchildren, Christopher Light, Skyler Cupples and Lincoln Francis. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Rena Ann Flowers. Pallbearers are: Jeral Petty, Don Swindle, J.D. Pruitt, Ralph Burton, Royce Melton and Billy Reedy.  Collinsville - Funeral services for Rickey Wayne Flowers, 61, of Collinsville, were held Monday, June 25, 2018 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel, Whitesboro, with Ricky Patterson officiating and Scott Sides assisting. Interment followed immediately after at Collinsville Cemetery. He passed away at his home in Collinsville on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. Rickey Wayne was born June 1, 1957 in Gainesville, Texas to Gerald Ross Flowers and Martha Lois Christopher Flowers. He graduated from Duncanville High School, Duncanville, Texas in 1975. He was an avid sports fan enthusiast; he loved watching the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys play and watch Nascar racing. He loved playing golf and bowling with his team. Rickey was good with kids and loved his time with his nieces and nephews. Hwe is survived by his mother, Martha Flowers, of Collinsville; niece, Cynthia Cupples; great-niece, Layla Cupples; niece, Tamara Francis and husband, Jason; two great-nephews, Lincoln and Levi Francis; newphew, Wayne Cupples and wife, Tina; great-niece, Skyler Cupples; aunt, Jeanette Christopher; numerous cousins and dear friends, Earl and Terri Holt, G.W. and Jodi Byers and Bobby and Sherry May. Pallbearers were Billy Reedy, Royce Melton, Bobby May, Gene Landers, Jason Francis, and David Huneycutt. Rickey Wayne was preceded in death by his father; and sister, Karen Harrison. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Collinsville Cemetery Association, Box 323, Collinsville, Texas 76233.
