Fails, Nella Vae Vannoy
Collinsville - Services for Nella Vae Fails, 67, of Collinsville were held Monday at Huff Funeral Chapel in Whitesboro. She died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002 at the Collinsville Care Center.
Officiating was Donny Weimar of the Collinsville Church of Christ and the Rev. Jerry Davis of the First Baptist Church, Collinsville. Burial was in Collinsville Cemetery.
Mrs. Fails was born on Sept. 8, 1934, in Collinsville, daughter of Lois Pierce Vannoy and the late Harvey Vannoy. She married Bob Fails Aug. 16, 1952, in Ft. Worth. She was a member of the Collinsville Church of Christ. She was a seamstress with Weber Aircraft.
Pallbearers were Steven Vannoy, Darryl Carney, Ricky Patterson, Royce Melton, C.J. Carney and Jerry Varley.
Honorary pallbearers: Gene McCorkle and Roger Kerr.
Surviving are her husband Bob Fails of Collinsville, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Curtis Fails and Grady and Sherrie Fails, all of Collinsville; mother, Lois Vannoy of Collinsville; three brothers, James Vannoy, Ronnie Vannoy and Dale Vannoy, all of Collinsville; one sister, Norma Choate of Graham, Texas; two grandsons, D.J. Marr and Tim Fails; and one granddaughter, Tanya Neu.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Vannoy.
