Clarence passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at his home in Collinsville. He was born in Drumwright, Oklahoma on April 30, 1936 to William Clarence and Mamie Vivian (Johnson) Hastings. He married Eyvone Calvert on March 10, 2003 in Whitesboro. Clarence worked as a nurse assistant at Vinita State Hospital in Vinita, Oklahoma for 23 years. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Whitesboro. Clarence also served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He loved to play the guitar in church and at nursing homes. Survivors include his wife, Eyvone Hastings of Collinsville; 2 sons, William Eugene Hastings of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Robert Lee Hastings of Bluejacket, Oklahoma; 2 daughters, Sherri Jean Prewitt of Galena, Kansas and Jo Ann Bergman of Vinita, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Louise Decoog of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and Edith Wimbish of Greenwood, Arkansas; 19 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Donald Ray Hastings and a granddaughter.
