November 25, 1940 pg7 RITES TODAY FOR BUSINESS LEADER Collinsville - Funeral was set for 2 p.m. Monday for Henry Naylor, 86, veteran Collinsville business man, who died at his home at 12:05 p.m. Sunday after a week's illness of a heart ailment. The Rev. A.H. Bates was to officate. Pallbearers name were R.I. Moncrief, Hubert Neathery, J.H. Harbison, Will Walker, Frank de Cordova and Earl Bruce. Summy of Whitesboro arranged for burial at the local cemetery. Mr. Naylor, a hardware merchant here since 1900 and partner with his brother, Robert Naylor in the undertaking business, was in business at Savoy before coming to Collinsville. He was born at Marietta, Ohio, and moved to Savoy in 1879. His parents were William and Elizabeth Naylor. Mr. Naylor was graduated from Marietta college. He was married to Miss Judith Ann Hunnicutt, daughter of John and Nancy Hunnicutt, at Whitewright on March 9, 1891. She died in April last year. Mr. Naylor had been a Mason for 40 years. He was postmaster at Savoy during the administration of President Harrison, had served as alderman and school trustee in Collinsville several terms. Surviving besides his brother are a son, William Henry Naylor of Collinsville, and a daughter, Mrs. Nano deCordova, teacher at Iraan. Sherman Democrat April 20, 1939 pg11 RITES FRIDAY FOR COLLINSVILLE WOMAN Collinsville - Mrs. Henry Naylor, 70, wife of a Collinsville hardware merchant, died in a Sherman hospital at 5 p.m. Thursday after a lingering illness. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at the residence with the Rev. A.H. Bates of Collinsville in charge. Burial will be in the Collinsville cemetery, directed by Summy of Whitesboro. Pallbearers selected are Charles Parker, Frank de Cordova, Robert Roswell, Eugene Mitchell, J.H. Harbison and W.A. Davis. Born in Tennessee as Judith Ann Hunnicutt Oct 13, 1868, she was a daughter of J.C. and Nancy Hunnicutt. Coming to Grayson county at an early age, she was married to Mr. Naylor at Whitewright March 19, 1893. Mrs. Naylor was a member of the Baptist church, the Rebekah and Eastern Star lodges. She is survived by her husband; a son, Henry Naylor Jr.; one daughter, Mrs. Nano Naylor de Cordova, teacher at Iraan; a sister, Mrs. E.B. Henshaw of Collinsville, and one grandson, Jack de Cordova of Collinsville.
