held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at the First Baptist Church
in Collinsville with Reverend Duane Peters and Reverend Jerry Davis officiating.
Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.
Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2009
at the funeral home. Ocia passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at the Whitesboro Nursing Center. She was born on May 9, 1920 in Hebron, Texas to Noah R. Jones and Laura N. (Owens) Jones. Ocia married Frank Austin Miller on September 13, 1937 in Oklahoma. She graduated from high school in Carrollton and graduated nursing school at Texas Women?s University. Ocia worked as a LVN. Survivors include two sons, Leon Miller and, wife, Teresa, of Collinsville, Cecil Miller of Whitesboro; three daughters, Bertha Hodgkinson and husband, Benton, of Gainesville, Sharon Miller of Denton, Doris Wilde and husband, Ken, of Lubbock, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Austin Miller; her parents, Noah and Laura Jones; two brothers, and four sisters. Pallbearers are Tony Miller, Larry Warren, Phillip Wilde, Forrest Wilde, Bobby Anderson, and Lonnie Pointer. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the Southside Unit at Whitesboro Nursing Center and Heart to Heart Hospice.
