Mrs. C. Vannoy Rites Held Here Thursday
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 3:30 pm at the Church of
Christ for Mrs Oma Lee Vannoy , who died in a Houston, Texas hospital January 6, 1946.
Willis Kreager, minister of the Church of Chirst, Gainesville, was in charge
Pall bearers were Vernon and Carl Vannoy, Melvin Petty,
Charles Goodman, W. L. Slack, Jr and Ray Sutton.
Interment in the Collinsville Cemetery were under directon of
Richards-Beck.
Oma Lee Combest was born April 25, 1918, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F.
C. Combet. She was reared in the Ethel community.
She married Clyde Vannoy January 11, 1936. Four children were
born to this union. Two died in infancy. She is survived by her husband, one
daughter, Martha Ann, age 9, one son, Robert Ronald age 3, her mother, Mrs. Ellen
Combest, one brother, Ernest Combest, two sisters Mrs. J. O. Quattlebaum and
Mrs Fred Green.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
