Patsy Ruth Mullins Swingle passed away peacefully Friday, January 27, 2023 at the age of 86, two weeks prior to her 87th birthday. She is now living her best life in Heaven!
Her Going Home Celebration Service was held Friday morning, February 10, 2023 at Fisher Funeral Home. Shortly after the service, Pat will be buried at Collinsville Cemetery, about a 45-minute drive.
Pat was born in Collinsville, Texas, daughter of Earl and Bernice Mullins on February 9, 1936.  She was raised in Gunter and spent her  youth working on their family cotton farm while going to school and playing her beloved sport of basketball.   In Sherman she met USAF Airman Noel Swingle from Oregon and they fell in love.  Noel and Pat married at Elmont Baptist Church in Van Alstyne in 1957 and moved to the beautiful rolling hills of Oak Cliff, eventually settling in Richardson.
They had 5 children and attended First Baptist in Richardson.   She worked for Southwestern Bell in Dallas on various part-time jobs (from babysitting to phone book deliveries) to earn extra money.   Mom was gifted with intelligence and a lot of common sense.  She chose the role of an executive homemaker with more responsibility than any paying job could have ever offered.  Her faith, hard work, kindness and selflessness made her priceless as a wife, mom, daughter and friend.
Mom, we love you and thank you for being t here for us for all those years. You will be sorely missed.  Heaven has added another saint.
Pat is survived by her husband, Noel; 5 children: Karen Meador and husband, Ron, of Dallas; Carol Conway of Richardson; Cheryl Swingle of Richardson; Debbie Lashbrook and husband, Toby, of Plano; and Brian Swingle and wife, Teresa, of Humble.
She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Dustin, Steven, Isaiah, Corey, Blake, Hannah, Addison and Landon; and 3 great-grandchildren: Madison, Dylan and Avery.
She is also survived by her brother, Dick Mullins, and wife, Virginia; and sister, Betty Hunter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Earline Mullins; and brother-in-law, Russell Hunter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Richardson or to the Collier Center for communication Disorders in Dallas.

Noel Lyman Swingle passed away peacefully at his residence in Richardson, Texas on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at the age of 88.  A family graveside service was held at Collinsville Cemetery in Collinsville, Texas.  Noel was laid to rest beside his dear wife, Patsy Swingle.
Noel was born in Salem, Oregon, son of Walter and Mary Swingle on September 19, 1934.  He had 6 siblings and was considered the "baby" of the family. As a youth, he participated in basketball and baseball.  After high school, he served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956. In Sherman he met Patsy and they fell in love. Noel and Pat married at Elmont Baptist Church in Van Alstyne, Texas on March 29, 1957.   Eventually they settled in Richardson, Texas where Noel worked multiple jobs, in the beginning, to support his quickly growing family.  After more than 33 years of service with Dallas Power & Light  (TXU), he retired in 1992.
They had 5 children, 4 girls and a boy.  Noel often served as the coach for his children's sports teams, attended his children's sporting events, caring for his landscape and garden, enjoyed fishing and watching all the Dallas professional sports teams and the Oregon Ducks college team and casino visits.  He enjoyed traveling when he could and never met a stranger. He would make friends with anyone he met.
Dad, we love you and thank you for all you did for us.  We are a reflection of your love and your hard work and dedication.  You will  be greatly missed, and we know you are in Heaven with Mom.
Noel is survived by his 5 children: Karen Meador and husband, Ron, of Dallas; Carol Conway of Richardson; Cheryl Swingle of Dallas; Debbie Lashbrook and husband, Toby, of Plano; and Brian Swingle and wife, Teresa, of Humble.
He is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Dustin, Steven, Isaiah, Corey, Blake, Hannah, Addison and Landon; and 4 great-grandchildren: Madison, Dylan, Avery and Wilder.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; his brothers: Claude Swingle and Kenneth Swingle; and sisters, Olive Reetz, Evelyn Reed, Gay Lanham, and Clair Swingle.
