Saturday, January 11, 1936 Section: I, p. 6 Former Mayor, Editor Is Dead at Collinsville SHERMAN, Texas, Jan 10. -- Funeral services for John Malone, former mayor of Collinsville and former editor of the Collinsville Times, were held Friday afternoon at the Collinsville Methodist church. Malone, who died Thursday, was born in Mississippi. He came to Texas in 1876 and settled near Collinsville. He is survived by six children, Mrs. Alice Swindle and Earl Malone of Collinsville, Henry Malone of McAlester, Okla; Mrs. Mamie Adams of Muskogee, Okla; Mrs. J. N. Gough of McAlester and Herbert Male of Atoka, Okla; nineteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
