Mrs. Margaret Jane Vick, 92, a resident of Pottsboro for 41 years, died at Denison Hospital Tuesday at 5:20 a.m. as a result of burns suffered January 4 at her home.
Funeral services were held at Bratcher Funeral Chapel Wednesday afternoon, January 28, with the Rev. Harold Cummings of Hagerman, conducting. Burial was in Layne-Coffman cemetery with Bratcher in charge.
Mrs. Vick was born February 8, 1866 in Waco and had lived in Pottsboro for the last 41 years. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Wiggins. On Dec. 23, 1886 she married J.A. Vick.
Survivors are two sons, Arvil Vick of Pottsboro and Earl Vick of Georgetown; five daughters, Mrs. Ola Cook, Mrs. Pearl Williams, and Mrs. Johnny McClain, all of Pottsboro, Miss Margaret Vick and Mrs. Ruby Crew, both of Denison; one brother, Harris Vick, of Sherman; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
