The Denison Press Monday, November 21, 1938 pg. 1 FROST HOME AGED WOMAN DIES SUNDAY Mrs. Sophronia Price, 91, died yesterday morning at the Frost Home for Aged Women on Route ?. She had been an invalid since a fall two years ago which resulted in a broken hip, and had resided at the Frost Home since August 12, 1936. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Short-Murray chapel, with the Rev. L.R. Lamb and Rev. J.F. Murrell officiating. Short-Murray will direct and burial will be in the Layne cemetery. Mrs. Price was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Pasley, and was born Nov. 9, 1847, at Atica, Ind. She received her education at Atica and at the age of 25 moved to Rossville, Ill., with her family. There she was married to Augustine Price, and five years later moved to Texas. Mr. Price died May 19, 1911. Three sons, Charlie, Sam and Walter also preceded her in death. Nine grandchildren all of Denison and nearby communities survive. Coffman~Layne Cemetery |
