A SAD DEATH
N.E. (Ep) Taylor, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Rube Taylor, died at 8 o'clock p.m. Wednesday of stomach cancer.  The death of this noble young man is one of the saddest events of the year.  A more heroic instance of patient suffering has seldom been recorded.  The young man was confined to his bed for six months.  When the cancer was slowly eating his life away and his anguish and suffering was of the most excrutiating character, not a word of complaint escapes his lips.  He did not wish to distress his parents who were devoted attendants at his bedside day and night.
The young man was born in Fannin county but was raised in Denison.  He was principally engaged in the grocery business.  At the time of his death. he was 30 years of age.  He was high in the Masonic degrees.
The funeral took place from the family residence, No. 803 West Sears street, Thursday.  There was a large attendance of sympathizing friends to pay the last respects.  The interment was at the Layne cemetery.
