Miller, 87, were held at Parkside Baptist church Monday afternoon at 1:30 with Rev. Ed Broome, former pastor, officiating. Interment was in Layne cemetery under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home of Sherman. Mrs. Miller, a resident of Denison since 1893, died in Madonna hospital Saturday at 7:25 p.m. Her home was at 701 W. Texas. Mrs. Miller was born in Ireland October 17, 1871, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Boyd. Her father was a Methodist bishop who came to America for his health. She was eight years of age when the family came to the United States, settling first at Waco. She married James N. Miller November 6, 1890. He died in 1945. She attended Baylor Women's College at Waco, which later became a part of Baylor University. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. W.L. Evans, Denison and Mrs. W.L. Williamson of St. Louis; a sister, Mrs. Chas. Webb of Waco; 3 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
