Sadler - After a week's illness of pneumonia, J.A. Siebert, 90-year-old Sadler citizen who had lived here a half century, succumbed at his home in town at 11:25 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held here at 2 p.m. Thursday with George Henry Stephenson of Headlton, Okla., Church of Christ minister, in charge.  The Rev. A.R. Morgan, local Methodist pastor, and R.?. Kirk of Sadler will assist.  Burial will be in the Christian Chapel cemetery east of here, directed by Dannel-Scott of Sherman.
Mr. Siebert was born in Ohio July 12, 1850, son of John and Margaret Siebert.  In 1864 he moved with his parents to Illinois.  There on Feb. 8, 1875, he was married to Miss Emma Angeline Harshbarger, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Harshbarger.  The couple came immediately to Texas and located at Johnson Station, 16 miles east of Dallas.  After one year they moved to a farm east of Sadler and have since lived in this community except for one year spent in Montague county and six months in Sherman.  They had lived in town about 10 years.
Sixteen children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Siebert, 11 girls and five boys including two sets of twins and all but two of them survive.  There are more than 60 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The 10 daughters surviving are Mrs. O.B. Parham of Austin, Mrs. Pitt Cowan of Littlefield, Mrs. Jim Barnes of Mexia, Mrs. William Godwin of Houston, Mrs. Charles Moulder of Sulphur Springs, Miss Bess Siebert, Mrs. Hannie Watson and Mrs. Charles G. Meek of Whitesboro, Mrs. S.C. Franklin and Mrs. C.L. Walker of Sadler.  Sons are O.A. and Roy Siebert of Sadler, Jess of Midland and Lee Siebert of Ashtown, Ark.  Also surviving are. . .

Sadler - Mrs. Emma Angeline Siebert, the widow of the late J.A. Siebert who died Nov...1940, passed away Saturday at 11:50 a.m. at her home here after a lingering illness.
Services will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Sadler Baptist Church.  Burial will be in the Christian Chapel cemetery east of Sadler, directed by Sammy of Whitesboro.
Mrs. Siebert was born Feb. 20, 1859, in Dement, Ill., a daughter of Aaron and Eunice Arvilia Harshbarger.  She was married to Mr. Siebert in Dement on Feb. 3, 1875, and they came to Texas immediately.  They settled at Johnson station, 10 miles west of Dallas.  After a year they moved to a farm one mile east of Sadler, where they lived for 52 years except for one year spent in Montague county and six months in Sherman.
When the Sieberts came to the Sadler community there was no railroad through this section and they went to Whitesboro twice a week for mail which came by overland stage.
Mrs. Siebert was a member of the Rebecca lodge, the Eastern Star and the Christian church at Whitesboro.
Surviving are ten daughters, Mrs. Pitt Cowan of Amherst, Mrs. W.M. Godwin of Houston, Mrs. Charles Moulder of Sulphur Springs, Mrs. Jim Barnes of Mexia, Mrs. S.C. Franklin and Mrs. C.L. Walker of Sadler, Mrs. Hannie Watson, Mrs. Charles Merk and Miss Bess Siebert of Whitesboro and Mrs. O.B. Parham of Austin; four sons, Lee Siebert of Asherton, Jesse Siebert of Eastland and O.A. and Roy Siebert of Sadler, 43 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
