August 20, 1945 pg. 8 Denison - Dewey Adams, 49, employed in the U.S. Engineers office here, died at 1 p.m. Saturday at a local hospital after an illness of 10 days. He was a native of Grayson county. Mr. Adams was reared by foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Roberts of Sadler. He married Miss Roxie Bullock at Arkansas, Tex., July 4, 1919. Survivors include the widow; two sons, Staff Sgt. C.W. Adams, with the Army in Germany, and Bobby Adams of Denison; three daughters, Mrs. Leo Beshears, Gainesville; and Eunice Faye and Doris Louise, Denison; a sister, Mrs. Bill Holly of Sadler, and one grandchild, Freddie Joe Beshears of Gainesville. Services will be held at the Denison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Boyd Jones officiating. Burial will be in Christian Chapel Cemetery. Time of the service is being delayed, pending notification of Sergeant Adams overseas. Sherman Democrat
March 17, 1987 Denison - Graveside services for Mrs. Roxie Woods of Denison, 83-year-old, retired Denison Independent School District elementary school .....died Monday at Texoma Medical Center.....held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Christian Chapel Cemetery in Sadler. The Rev. Keith Taylor will officiate and arrangements are by Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. Mrs. Woods was born in Dallas, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bulloci, and married Dewey Adams. After his death,she married Sidney Woods in .....She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Surviving are her son, Bob Adams of Denison; daughter, Doris Wainscott of Cincinnati's, Ohio; brother, Floyd Bullock of Denison; sister, Bertie Bruce of Albuquerque, N.M.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
