Sadler - V.L. Harshbarger, 62, farmer of Sadler, died Tuesday at 2:05 p.m. after an illness of two years with heart disease.  Funeral services were to be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Sadler at the Methodist church, conducted by Dr. Roy H. Biser, pastor of the Central Christian Chapel, east of here.
Mr. Harshbarger is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alta Wallace Harshbarger; a brother, S.W. Harshbarter; two sisters, Mrs. J.A. Siebert, Sadler, and Mrs. W.I, Haswell, Norman, Okla., a half-brother, B.F. Harshbarger, two half-sisters, Mrs. Johnnie Smith, Sadler, and Mrs. Effie Brooker, Denison, several nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Mr. Harshbarger was born Sept 17, 1872, at Atwood, Ill., a son of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Harshbarger.  He came to Texas in Feburary, 1857, and to Grayson county the following September.  He was a member of the Christian church.
Dannel-Scott, funeral directors of Sherman, are in charge of arrangements for the funeral.


Services for a retired Grayson County school teacher, Mrs. Alta Mae Davis, 84, of Sadler, were held at 2 p.m. today in the Sadler United Methodist Church.  The Rev. Hargrove Grounds of Dallas and the Rev. Kenneth Summy, pastor, officiated.  Burial was in the Christian Chapel Cemetery, directed by Huff Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
Mrs. Davis died Monday at the C. C. Young Memorial Home in Dallas.  She came to the Southmayd area in 1902 and was a member of the Key Memorial United Methodist Church in Sherman.
Survivors are one stepson, Charlie T. Davis Jr. of Dallas; and two brothers, E. E. Wallis of Iowa Park and Leslie Wallis of Lawton, Okla.

INFANT SON

SADLER - The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. V. L. Harshbarger died here at 3 o'clock Thursday morning.  Funeral services were held from the Christian Chapel in Sadler at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon with the Rev. R. L. Lemons officiating.
Dannel-Scott Company, Sherman, has charge of funeral arrangements
