Savoy,
Texas - Ruby Faye Galyon Bunch was born April 17, 1929 to parents,
Clifford and Ivy Lee Galyon. Faye married Walter Bunch on June
22, 1968 in Durant, Oklahoma.
Faye attended schools in Bells and
Savoy; she retired from Safeway and then Wal-Mart. She loved
children and served at the Savoy Elementary schools as a foster
grandma; she was known a "Grandma Faye" to the teachers and students
she served. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Savoy.
Faye
is survived by her daughters: Debbie Gilbert and Joe of Savoy;
Cheryl Halter Butler and Mark of Ardmore, Oklahoma; Cindy Howland and
Paul of Leulla; Tammie Bean and Donnie of Tom Bean; Roseanne Morris and
husband, Joe; sons: Danny Bunch and wife Gayle and Ray Bunch; three
brothers, Charles Galyon and Pat; Roy Galyon and Mary; and John Galyon
and Paula; two sisters, Joann Barrientez and Billie Johnson. She
is also survived by her 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; 3
great-great-grandchildren with 3 great-grandchildren on the way.
She had several nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she dearly
loved. She had 2 "honorary children" that survive her, Charla
Harkreader and Charles Bankston, Jr..
She was preceded in death by
her parents, husband, son-in-law Larry Halter, brothers-in-law, Santos
Barrientez and Jerry Johnson; and granddaughter Christy Bunch.
Funeral
services were set for Saturday, November 11, 2017 at First Baptist
Church of Savoy with Rev. Bill Sessom and Rev. Jeremiah Orr
officiating. Burial was in Cherry Mound Cemetery.
Those
serving as pallbearers were Tyler Halter, Tristan Allen, Tanner Allen,
Trevor Bean, James Bunch, Darron Bunch, and Josh Maynor.
