   Nelda Jean Britt Burks 27 April 1932 - 18 April 2017  Nelda Jean Britt Burks, 84, entered into eternal life Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Carrus Specialty Hospital in Sherman. Mrs. Burks was born April 27, 1932 in Locust, Texas, daughter of Buster and Mae Bates Britt. Nelda loved the Lord and was a loving, caring and compassionate person who had a heart always willing to help and take care of others. She worked for Texas Instruments for 20 years and later serving others in healthcare for many years. Nelda loved her family and although her passing leaves a void in our lives, she will live on in our hearts forever. Mrs. Burks leaves behind her children, Michael Walsh of Whiteright, Texas; LaNell Walsh of Denison, Texas; Dianna Stephenson and husband, John, of Howe, Texas; Danny Walsh and wife, Sherry, of Ector; Joanna Russell and husband, Carl, of Llano, Texas; and Gary Walsh of Pottsboro, Texas; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Dennis Britt and wife, Martha, of Cherry Mound; Donald Britt and wife, Gail, of Tupelo, Oklahoma; Johnny Britt and wife, Gayla, of Decatur, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara "Bob" Nelson; and grandson Jonathon Walsh. Graveside services were held Friday morning, April 21, 2017 at Cherry Mound Cemetery in Denison with Pastor Roger Speers officiating.
