GUM SPRINGS
It is with sadness that we report the death of Sister Maggie Hoskins, wife of Bro. C.W. Hoskins, formerly of this community but now of Bonham.  She was a member of the Baptist church at Gum Springs.  A consistent Christian, a kind neighbor and an affectionate wife and mother has gone.  She leaves a husband and 2 little girls.  Sad  indeed is the parting when we part on earth the last time, but joyful will be the meeting when we meet in Heaven to separate no more.  This writer would join the host of friends in this community in offering sympathy to Bro. Hoskins.  It will be remembered that it has been but a short time since Bro. Hoskins' only brither, Dick, ex-jailer in Fannin county, was killed and snatched without a minute's warning into eternity, and now he loses his wife, which leaves him alone with 2 little daughters and one sister.  God only can bind up the broken heart.
