July 29, 2011 SHERMAN - Services for Ina Marie Bell Robnett will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011 at West Sherman Baptist Church. Rev. Danny Wood will officiate. Pallbearers will be her nephews Douglas Bell, Jr., Stephen Bell, Danny Bell, Bobby Carlile, Wade Bell, Wayman Bell and Dennis Bell. Interment will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Waldo Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Robnett passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011. Marie was born in Warden, Grayson County, the third of eight children to the late Lewis B. and Nannie Jane (Stroud) Bell. After graduating from Sherman High she attended Brantley-Draughan Business College in Ft. Worth. Upon her return to Sherman, she met and married her husband Daniel O'Brian Robnett who preceded her in death January 1973. In 1955 she was appointed Grayson County's first full time female deputy sheriff to be secretary to then Sheriff G. W. "Woody" Blanton, and court bailiff for the 15th and 59th District Courts, a position she held for 10 years. She then worked for Billy A. Neill who owned the Cabell Minute Markets, until he sold his business. She then was employed by Knight Furniture Company, retiring after 20 years. However, she also worked about 13 years part time at Knight's. While at Knight's, she was president of the Sherman Business and Professional Women's Club. Marie was also secretary/treasurer for the North Texas Senior's Dance club. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters Nina Branham and Clara Lee Hale and brothers Weldon and Eugene Bell, she is survived by her son Richard Robnett and wife Kathleen of Pfugerville,; grandsons Brian Robnett of Denison and Daniel Allen Robnett and Marti DeLong and her son Dilin Brown of Sherman; sister Alma Clark of Sherman; granddaughters Jennifer Cuda and husband Mark of Austin, Amber Turner and husband Blake of Prosper; brothers Douglas Bell and wife Peggy of McKinney, Louie Bell and wife Laverne of Odessa and three great-granddaughters Lexie, Finley, Isabella and Morgan. Visitation will be from 6 -7 p.m. Friday, July 29 at Waldo Funeral Home. If desired memorials may be made to the donor's choice or the building fund at West Sherman Baptist Church, 1830 W. Washington, Sherman, TX 75092. The family gives special thanks to her caregiver Lindsay Taylor and the staff at Beacon Hill for the care given to Marie.
