Graveside services for Anna Lou Martin Young, 91, of Houston, formerly of Sherman, were held Saturday, March 18, at 2:30 p.m., at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. She died Wednesday, March 15, 1995, at Villa North West Nursing Home in Houston.
Joe Edd Furr conducted the services.
Mrs. Young was born September 9, 1903 in Grayson County, Texas, the daughter of the late James Albert Martin and Eliza Rebecca Buckner Martin. She married Ed H. Young on January 12, 1923, in Sherman. He preceded her in death on July 30, 1973.
She moved to Houston in 1943, and moved back to Sherman in 1974 after her husband passed away and has resided there ever since.
She was a homemaker and a member of Western Heights Church of Christ in Sherman.
Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Ann Young of Emerald Bay, Bullard, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Ellouise and Dalton Billings of Houston; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
