Sunday May 30, 1965 L. C. Spaugh Sr., 65, Dies of Heart Attack Denison - L. C. Spaugh Sr., 65, of 313 Chestnut, died at 8:15 a.m. Saturday
at his home after a heart attack, Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m.
Tuesday at Johnson-Moore Funeral Chapel. The family will be at the
funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Burial will be in Cedarlawn Memorial
Park.
Sherman Democrat April 1, 1990 Denison - Services for Alma Spaugh, 85-yar-old Denison homemaker who died Friday at Care Inn in Denison, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. The Rev. L. D. Lamb and the Rev. Ron Teel will officiate, and burial will be in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Spaugh was born in Collin County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Lafeyette Brinlee. She married Leonard Cleo Spaugh on Dec. 22, 1923 in McKinney. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are her sons, James Spaugh of Sherman, L. C. Spaugh of Tawokoni, Jerry Spaugh of West Columbia, Harold Spaugh of Fort Worth and Bobby Spaugh of McKinney; daughters, Dorothy Torres of Sherman, Joyce Atkins of Alba, Edith Kohler of Magnolia, Wanda Williams of Denison and Sharon McEntire of Richardson; brothers, Woodrow Brinlee of Tulsa, Okla. and Robert Brinlee of Odessa; sisters, Opal Seal and Iva Brinlee both of Sherman and Avis Queen of Midland; 26 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. They are: Michael Spaugh, B.J. Spaugh, Kenny Spaugh, Dwayne Williams, Carroll Allen Spaugh and Todd Williams.
