Established 1948  The Herald Democrat May 25, 2010 Mickey June (Henry) Allen was born on Aug. 23, 1944 in Denison, Grayson County to H.W. and Maxine (Allen) Henry. Mrs. Allen died in her home on May 23, 2010 in Rowlett. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Herbert W. and Lola (Davis) Henry; and M. I. and Maudie (Perry) Allen; one brother-in-law, Robert S. Fryar. She is survived by her husband, Joseph J. Allen of Rowlett; sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher J. and Laura Allen of Katy, Gregory J. and Melissa Allen of Royse City; grandchildren, Emily and Abigail of Katy, Zachary Allen of Royse City; Aeron and Kevin Sandefer of Wills Point; sister, Darlene Henry Fryar of Terrell; aunt, Earline Henry Ritchey of Denison; uncle, Carl Henry of Woodville, Okla.; brother-in-law, Ted J. and Margie Allen of Dallas, and many other relatives. Mickey was a member of the Dallas, Mary Ann Lawhon Chapter of The Daughters of the Republic of Texas in Dallas for more than 20 years. She started work with Western Electric in 1963 and retired from Tyco in 2003. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.
