EDNA LOIS
FREEMAN BOZARTH 4 October 1901 – 2 September 1990
Mrs. Bozarth was born in
Detroit, Texas, the daughter of Thomas F. and Cora Freeman. She died at Texoma
Medical Center, Denison, Texas. On 20 July 1920, she married
William Herbert Bozarth Sr. in Blossom, Texas. He preceded her in death in
1979. She and her husband owned
and operated Bozarth Grocery from 1936 and 1968. She was a member of United
Methodist Church. She was survived by her son
Herb Bozarth Jr of Denison; daughter. Ina King of Garland; brother, T.F. Freeman
of Dallas, Texas; sister, Myrtle Brannon of Tyler, Texas; six grandchildren and
six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held
by Dr. Tom Peel and Dr. Bob Robertson at Bratcher Funeral Home
Chapel. An obituary was published in
the Denison Herald newspaper on 3 September 1990, page 2.

WILLIAM HERBERT
BOZARTH Sr. 29 November 1901 – 17 March 1979
“Herb” was born in Tennessee
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Bozarth. He died at home in Denison,
Texas. On 20 July 1920 he wed Miss
Edna Lois Freeman in Blossom, Texas. From 1932 thru 1967 he
operated Bozarth Grocery Store at 100 South Austin, Denison, Texas, when he
retired. He lived in Celina, Texas
before moving to Denison in 1932. He was a member of the Trinity Methodist
Church.
He was survived by his wife;
son Herb Jr. of Denison; daughter Mrs. Ina King, Garland, Texas; sister, Mrs.
Emma Taylor, Amarillo, Texas; six grandchildren and one
great-grandchild.
Funeral service was held at
the Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Jim Connatser. Obituary was published in
the Denison Herald on 18 March 1979, page 2. |
