Established 1948   Pamala Lou Watkins, 69, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus Monday, January 21, 2019 at her home in Sherman. Mrs. Watkins was born December 2, 1949 in Denison, Texas, daughter of Martellis and Patsy Bennet Webb. She married the love of her life, Melvin Watkins, July 15, 1968 in Denison, Texas. Her greatest joy in life was her family, she loved them dearly. She enjoyed family trips and making menories with them. Although her passing leaves a void in all of our lives, she will live on forever in our hearts. Mrs. Watkisn leaves behind her husband of 50 years; children, Marland Watkins and wife, Ella, of Ore City, Texas; Amy Gaskill of Savoy, Texas; Phillip Watkins of Denison; grandchildren, Ashley, Blane, Brett, Chris, April, Callie, and Justin; and 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Patti Herrod, Phyllis Harwell, and Penny Hyman; brother, Phillip Webb. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services were held Thursday morning, January 24, 2019 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Jim Branscum officiating. Interment followed in Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.
