Services for Clyde William Watkins, 80, retired farmer, were held at the Luella First Baptist Church.  Services were conducted by Rev. Jerry Creek of the Luella First Baptist Church and Rev. Tommy Farmer, Baptist minister.  Burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.
Mr. Watkins was born at Decatur, Texas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Watkins and was married to the former Linnie Helbert on December 28, 1914 in Sherman.  He had been a farmer in Grayson County since 1912 and was a member of the Luella First Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife; sons, Keith Watkins of Sherman and Marshall Watkins of Kileen; daughter, Mrs. Catherine Russell of Sherman; brothers, Thurman Watkins, Lyle Watkins, Edwin Watkins and Cecil Watkins, all of Arlington, Texas; Ewing Watkins of Ft. Worth; and Garth Watkins of Austin; sisters, Mrs. Thelma Busby of Arlington and Mrs. Leila Schmitz of Sherman; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Greg Watkins, Randy Watkins, Bill Riddle, Larry Hawkins, Phillip Langford and Doyle Walker.

Services for Mrs. Mattie Len Watkins of Sherman, 100-year-old longtime Grayson County homemaker, were held Saturday in the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. She died Thursday evening at Integrated Health Services of Texoma.
Officiating was Rev. Tommy Farmer, Baptist minister of Ft. Worth, assisted by Rev. L.D. Beall, retired Baptist minister of Sherman and Rev. Glynn Tyson, minister of the Luella First Baptist Church. Burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.
Mrs. Watkins was born December 15, 1894 in Virginia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Helbert. She moved to Southmayd at a young age and attended Southmayd schools. She married Clyde Williams Watkins December 28, 1914 in Paris, Texas. Together they farmed in Southmayd and Luella for several years.
She was an avid gardener and enjoyed needle work. At the time of her death she was the oldest living member of the Luella First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Keith Watkins of Luella and Marshall Watkins of Killeen; daughter, Catharine Russell of Sherman; grandchildren, Janet Hawkins, Ginger Riddle, Betty Rush, Greg Watkins, Billie Langford, Randy Watkins, Kathy Walker, Sandy Shields and Stacey Watkins; 13 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Randy Watkins, Greg Watkins, Bobby Hawkins, Bill Riddle, Larry Hawkins and Kevin Riddle.
Memorials may be given to the Luella First Baptist Church.
