Established 1948  Denison Herald January 7, 1994 Page 2 DENISON - Funeral for Glen Coy Watson, 76, who died January 5, 1994 in a Sherman hospital were held this afternoon in Cedarlawn Mausoleum Chapel. Military graveside rites were conducted by the Sherman VFW. Burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park veteran's section under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Watson was born February 22, 1917 in Pattonville, son of Everett C. Watson and Sally Reeves Watson. He married Jewell McGee in 1990 in Denison. He was wounded in action while serving in Guadalcanal during World War II in the U.S. Army. He attended the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of Denison; one son, Danny K. Watson of Denison; one daughter, Jean Harris of Denison; 3 brothers, Junior Watson of Sherman, Jack Watson and C.G. Watson, both of California; 2 sisters, Amonette Rhudy of Sherman and Verdell Dickens of Bells; and 6 grandchildren.
