July 25, 1981 Services for Edith Woodruff, 72, Medical Plaza Hospital employee who died at work Friday, will be held at 2 p. m. Monday in Dannel and Horton Chapel. Rev, R. M. Williams of East Sherman Baptist Church will officiate and burial will be in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Mrs Woodruff was born February 25, 1909 in Ambrose, the daughter of J. D. and Mary Etta McClendon Smith, attended Ector schools and was married to Alfred R. Woodruff. She was a member of East Sherman Baptist Church. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Sam Terrana of Fort Worth; a sister Mrs. Ethel Rose of Abilene; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Sam Terrana, Steve Terrana, John Ball, George Cole, Jack Baldwin and Louis Britton. *NOTE: error, should have said Joyce Terrrana (or Mrs. Sal Terrana, not Sam) Sherman Democrat September 29, 1965 In Memoriam ALFRED WOODRUFF, 62 Dies, Rites Planned Funeral services will be held at 10 A. M. Friday in Barrett Funeral Chapel here for Alfred Rudolph Woodruff, 62, of 916 E. Cherry, retired Lone Star Gas Co. serviceman, who died at 6:40 a. m. Wednesday in a Sherman hospital. Rev R. M. Williams, pastor of the East Sherman Baptist Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Mr Woodruff was born December 21, 1902 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Woodruff. On September 27, 1928 he married Miss Edith Smith in Hendrix, Oklahoma. He grew up in Wolfe City and attended school there. He came to Sherman from Savoy in 1955 and retired last May because of failing health. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors besides his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Terrana of Fort Worth; 3 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Hildred Woodruff of Lubbock, Sidney Woodruff of Ector and Erskine Woodruff of Marshall; 2 sisters, Mrs. Era Sikes of Lubbock and Mrs. Mildred Johnson of Whitewright.
