Bells (Spl.) - Jacob C. "Jake" Williams, 85, died at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 1968 in a Sherman hospital. Funeral services will be held at the Mullican-Little Funeral chapel at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Harry Stanley, pastor of the Bells Baptist Church, and Rev. L.B. Beale, Baptist minister of Sherman, officiating. Interment will be in Cedarlawn Memorial Park at Sherman. Mr. Williams was born March 21, 1882 in Sabine county, Texas, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Williams. He married Miss Cleota Small at Dalby Springs December 4, 1904. They had lived in the Bells community for the past 28 years. A member of the Baptist church, Mr. Williams was a retired farmer and railroad employee. Survivors are his widow of the home in Bells; a son, Curtis Williams of Evanston, Wyoming; 4 daughters, Mrs. Cleota Lofland and Mrs. Virgie Maye Orr, both of Sherman; Mrs. Bill Atkinson of Bells and Mrs. Hazel Reid of Santa Paula, California; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
