Weimer 18 July 1979 - 29 November 2008 The Herald Democrat December 2 - 3, 2008 Sherman - Michael Scott Weimer of Sherman, 29-year-old Tyson Foods employee, passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center. Services were held Wednesday afternoon, Decmeber 3, 2008 in Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Larry Flenniken of the Promis Land Church officiated and burial followed in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Michael, fondly known by family and friends as "Weimy" and "Butterbean" was born July 18, 1979 in Sherman, son of Lisa Inman Weimer Townsend; He was blessed to have 2 fathers, Michael Joe Weimer and Craig Townsend. He attended Sherman schools and Grayson Christian Academy and took industrial maintenance technician classes at Grayson Couunty College. He was employed at Tyson Foods as a maintenance technician. He married Summer Meek December 17, 2005 in Sherman. Michael loved his family and especially enjoyed times spent with his son. He had a passion for music and played guitar and sang in the band "Shovelhead." He also loved motorcycles and the times he spent riding a motorcycle. When the chartered bus carrying the Vietnamese people crashed in Sherman this past August, Michael was the first person to arrive at the scene. He was very proud that he helped notify local emergency personnel and stayed at the scene to assist with rescue of the injured. Michael is survived by his wife, Summer Weimer, of Sherman; son, Michael Scott Joe Weimer, Jr. of Sherman; parents, Lisa and Craig Townsend and Michael Joe Weimer, all of Sherman; brothers, Brandon Inman, Nicholas Weimer, Timothy Weimer and Craig Townsend, all of Sherman; sister, Haleigh Weimer of Sherman; grandmothers, Lois Inman, Frances Weimer, both of Sherman and Ruth Townsend of Lodi, California.
